How to Write a Biography

To learn how to write a biography for yourself or for a family member, please start with 67 page download that covers memory-sparking ideas and the general topic of how to write a biography.

Another simple way to write a biography or autobiography is to do it online. Use the following link to Capture, Share and Preserve Your Family's Stories on Our Story

Our Story is a new service that I discovered. It is free to sign up and it uses a unique timeline process to help you organize family stories, a biography or your own autobiography.

Consider Recording A Biography on CD

When it comes to documenting personal history, there are really only a few ways to do it. You can:

  • Write It!
  • Type It!
  • Pay Someone Else to Write It!
  • Or.....

  • You Can Record It!

  • It's a Fact...We Speak Faster Than We Can Write

The subject of How to Write a Biography is a topic I think about a lot. I am always looking for ways to make it easier and quicker for people to do. Because I know that if something isn't easy, most people won't attempt it.

I recently came across a new and unique service created by Mark Kohls. I wish that I had been the one that thought of it!

This service is great as a solo project or for working with a parent or other friend or relative to record their biographies to CD!

Mark created a Life Story Recording interview System and here's how it works!

    1. Sign up for the service

    2. Login in and select only the questions that you or your parent will want to answer

    3. Call a toll free number and the interview system will ask you one question at a time. Answer question as long as you wish, day or night. Do it in a week, a month or ever how long it takes. It's up to you.

    4. If helping a parent with their biography, get together and use a speaker phone. Or, if you live long distance, make a three way call. Living long distance from your parents doesn't matter anymore with this type of system. Technology bridges the gap!

    5. Once you are satisfied with all of the answers, and you give your approval, all of the interview is made into a professional set of CDs and sent to you. Additional copies may be ordered and given to members of your family.

Available recording packages range from a two hour interview to 20 or more hours.

    Try the Demo Version

You can take the interview system for a test spin by going to Mark Kohls' site. I know you'll really be impressed and most likely will want to get the service and get started recording a family biography.

That is why I negotiated a price break for all of my site visitors. When purchasing a level of service, please be sure to enter the following special code to knock 10% off all service packages.

    That code is this: 7789
