Reading The Christmas Story

Reading The Christmas Story

I remember a Christmas Tradition as a small Child that was put in place by my grandparents. It has remained a tradition over the years even as they have gone from grandparents to great grandparents!

The tradition that has played a wonderful part of our Christmas celebration within our family for years has been the reading of the Christmas story from the bible.

Each and every year as we would all sit down around the tree waiting soo impatiently to open our presents, my grandpa would sit amongst us kids and very lovingly read all of us kids the story of Christmas.

After the story, we would all talk about it as each year we gained more and more knowledge from growing older and having heard the story more and more. After that, we would pray, and dig into our gifts.

Now that I am adult and have children of my own, I love that my grandpa still climbs down on the floor with his great grandchildren all exited for their presents as well and reads them the Christmas story; still from the exact same Bible he used to read to us as well.

Such a wonderful tradition!
